I have to say that I didn't expect traveling with a little one to be so easy, even downright fun! Jack is a blast. It's just the two of us most of the time, and I welcome his company. He laughs like crazy and has a contagious smile.
With only one day notice, we headed south on Tuesday. Scott for work, Jack and I for play. It's warm and wonderful!

Last Friday was the

artists show. It was lots of fun and it seemed as though everyone from the neighbourhood was there.

Yuka Yamaguchi is an amazing artist. She has art shows all over the globe. Here is one with her little one, Elijah.

I was out shooting for the Saskatoon Health Region today and as we were leaving Nutana Collegiate this girl was standing by the door, it looked like the perfect photo. It was.

Here is one reason why.

Last fall, Jack and I decided we would take on a fun shoot for WISH magazine. www.wish.ca
We walked around Broadway and Jack was a great assistant. Here are the spreads. They appear in the April issue of Wish.

Going back to my roots.
Sometimes I get caught up in the business end of photography. I suppose it's bound to happen. I lose track of what first attracted me. It's the love of capturing someone in an abstract way, their true self. Photographing them when they least expect it. Jack and I took a few minutes to take some pictures yesterday. It was great, we forgot about exposure, or smiling at the camera, or even composition and just had fun. I love the results.

This shoot may look simple, but don't get the wrong idea. Twins look similar but their moods usually aren't. Ryan and Jack (good name!) were cute, funny, lovable, a real riot. With (my) Jack on my back, literally crawling on my the entire shoot, we got some amazing shots.
Thanks everyone!!
